Common questions
Frequently asked questions →What is GStar Technologies?#
GStar Technologies is a software development centre in Kathmandu, Nepal, building web and mobile products for clients in Asia, Australia, Europe and the United States. GStar Technologies is part of the GStar Group of Companies and was previously named JapNep.
Is GStar Technologies the same company as JapNep?#
Yes. JapNep was renamed GStar Technologies. The team, the Kathmandu engineering office and the published client work are unchanged — the name changed, the company did not. Case studies delivered under the JapNep name are still published under GStar Technologies.
Where is GStar Technologies located?#
GStar Technologies has two offices. Engineering sits in Kathmandu, Nepal, where design, development, QA and support share one room. The Hamamatsu office in Shizuoka, Japan is the client-facing side, run by Country Manager Manish Ghimire.
Does GStar Technologies work in Japanese?#
Yes. Meetings in Japan happen in Japanese, in Japanese business hours, with Country Manager Manish Ghimire in Hamamatsu. A full-time Language Coordinator sits between the two offices, because the usual failure of offshore delivery is a requirement that meant two different things in two languages.
